SquiresBenson, P.L. is a minority Afro-Hispanic American and 50% Woman-Owned law firm. Its principals are both descendants of peoples of a diverse variety of Afro-Hispanic and Caribbean ethnicities and cultures. In addition, the principals, and particularly Gilbert K. Squires, have traveled the U.S. and the world extensively. Mr. Squires has lived and worked throughout the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Aside from being born and raised in the Republic of Panama he has lived in Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, and The Netherlands. Also, Olivia S. Benson was born and raised in the Republic of Panama.

Aside from their natural affinity to diversity, Mr. Squires and Ms. Benson have received cultural sensitivity, business culture and customs training. As a result of their own experience living in different countries; their multi-ethnic, multi-national and multi-cultural diversity; their multi-lingual skills; their diversity training; and their exposure; they have created a unique practice model based on their diverse perspectives.
